Dr Khalesi holds a PhD in skin cancer from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane. He has extensive experience in early skin cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. 

​

Dr Khalesi is highly skilled in advanced skin surgery, including removal of skin cancers, cysts and lumps, as well as complex flap and graft repairs across various areas of the body.

​

Dr Khalesi has published widely in peer-reviewed international journals, with more than 200 citations to his research worldwide.

His expertise in skin cancer has also been recognised in the media. He has appeared as an expert guest on an SBS News podcast discussing UV radiation, sunscreen and skin cancer prevention, and his research has been featured in a national 7NEWS television interview.
